A little setup. A lot of memories.

How PixMio works

Hosting an event or joining the party? Here is what to do, what packages unlock, and how event credits work.

For organisers and operators

Start free. Add paid features only when your event needs them.

  1. Create your event

Sign up or sign in using the PIN sent to your email. Add your event name, venue, and start and end times. Your event lives in your workspace.

Use testing mode while checking your setup. You can invite other operators to help manage the same workspace.

  2. Choose what you need

Keep Free Digital, or upgrade for custom branding or printing. Buy an event package or apply an available credit from your workspace.

Choose your designs and guest settings. Printing also needs a connected, working print station and a print template.

  3. Share and enjoy

When ready, check the event is live and share its guest link, QR code, or event code. Guests can upload without an account.

Approve uploads yourself or enable automatic approval. Approved uploads appear in the gallery and live wall when those features are enabled.

Which package should I choose?
PackageWhat it is forCredit needed
Free DigitalCollect photos and videos, with an optional gallery and live wall, within the free event limits.None
Custom BrandingDigital sharing with your own supported event branding and designs. Does not enable printing. One Custom Branding credit per event
PrintingCustom branding plus photo printing through a connected print station. Videos are never printed. One Printing credit per event

See the current prices, bundles, and included limits in your workspace under Events > Buy credits. A credit unlocks a package for one event; it is not one printed photo. Printer hardware and consumables are separate.

Already paid for Custom Branding and now want printing?

Choose Add printing on your event. For an eligible Custom Branding event, the checkout shows the price difference rather than charging the full Printing package again. Check the amount shown before paying.

What do the approval and printing switches do?

Automatically approve guest photos and videos lets suitable uploads appear without manual approval. Auto-print approved photos queues approved photos for printing when printing is available. Enable guest print flow lets guests use the photo preview and Print or Cancel steps; it does not control the operator's printing permission. Videos stay outside the print flow.

Your credits, simply explained

Purchased credits belong to your workspace. Apply the matching credit to an event to unlock its paid features.

Deleting a future event? Credits, not cash.

Delete an event before it starts and eligible paid event credits return to your workspace, even if the event has test photo or video uploads. Use those credits for another event.

Once the event has started, credits are not returned. Turning on testing mode or moving the date later does not undo a start that has already happened.

Returned credits keep their original expiry date. Deleting an event does not extend that date or make an expired credit usable again. Credits already refunded or revoked are not eligible.

Event deletion does not issue a monetary refund. It permanently deletes the event's photos, videos, and guest appearance images, and stops its guest links. Download anything you want to keep first.

How do I delete an event?

Open Events, select the three-dot menu on the event card, then choose Delete event. Read the confirmation before continuing. Deletion cannot be undone. If uploads are processing, a print is in progress, or payment is pending, resolve that first and try again.

When does an event count as started?

For a scheduled event, its start time is the cutoff, even in testing mode. Without a scheduled start time, the first non-testing upload starts the event. An unscheduled event marked Ended also counts as started.

What if I paid for branding and then added printing?

If you paid the difference to upgrade from Custom Branding to Printing, deleting the event before it starts returns one eligible Printing credit, not a Printing credit plus a separate Branding credit. Free events do not create paid credits when deleted.

For guests: three easy steps

No app to install. No account to create.

  1. Join the event

Scan the organiser's QR code with your phone camera or open their invitation link. You can also enter the event code on the PixMio homepage.

Need a code or having trouble joining? Ask your organiser to check the event is open.

  2. Upload your memories

Choose photos or a video, follow the instructions, and press Upload. Your name is optional. Keep the page open until the upload finishes.

The page shows the accepted file types and limits. Some events need the organiser to approve uploads before everyone can see them.

  3. Enjoy them together

See approved photos and videos in the gallery or live wall if your organiser has enabled them. Videos can play there but are not printed.

If guest printing is enabled, photo uploads can show a composite preview. Choose Print to submit it or Cancel to discard the preview. Printing depends on the event's settings and print station.
